    Engineering Cooperative (Co-op) Education Program 

    Senior Engineering Students are looking for co-ops now with a target start date of Aug 31st.

     ABET accredited

    Four year Bachelor of Science degree

    Majors: Mechanical, Electrical/Computer Engineering 

    • Develops a strong pool of talented engineers for employers in our regional area 

    About the York College Engineering Co-op:  

    1.    Each co-op runs for a full semester period, students are full time employees while on co-op (no required classes for students during co-op). 

    • Seniors - fall semester (Sept - Jan)
    • Juniors - spring semester (Jan - May)
    • Sophomores - summer semester (May - Aug) 

    2.    To earn college credit for co-op, students must work full time for a minimum of 12 weeks in the summer and 15 weeks in the fall and spring.

    Nicholas D. "Nick" Remy, 85, of Allentown, PA died Thursday, April 30, 2015 in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. Nick was the 2003 President of PSLS and more recently president of PA PLS. 


    Memorial Service 3:00PM Friday, May 8, 2015 in the sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church, 3231 W. Tilghman St., Allentown, PA. Call 2 to 3:00PM Friday in the church. Masonic Service 2:45PM Friday in the church. Arrangements by J.S.     Over the past seven months, four Penn State Surveying students have worked on their presentation for the NSPS National Student Competition. This year’s topic wasError Study of Topographic Mapping Methods. Students from seven teams gathered on April 13th to give oral presentations on their projects. Christopher Albee, Aaron Severance, Tyler Shelly, and Alexander Wood put hours of research and work into this project and are to be commended for their outstanding effort.  PSLS offers congratulations to the Penn State team on this impressive accomplishment.

    Representatives for PSLS and MAPPS spent Wednesday, April 15 visiting legislators in Washington to discuss issues of importance to Surveyors and MAPPS members.  Ronald Horst, PLS, Robert Miller, PLS, and PSLS Business Manager, Laurie Troutman represented Pennsylvania surveyors.  MAPPS members Ed Kunz, Mike Shillen, and Robert Hanson represented Pennsylvania photogrammetry interests.
