We are searching for a Project Surveyor who will be responsible for the operation and supervision of multiple company survey crews, procure and maintain survey equipment and coordinate the collection of the necessary survey data for site development, commercial clients, and governmental clients. The candidate shall have a thorough understanding of state laws as they relate to surveying, boundary surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, topographic surveys, and construction stakeout, as well as, development of proposals, cost estimating projects, developing an maintaining schedules, QAQC technical information for accuracy and completeness, signing and sealing plans, communicating with existing clients, developing new clients, and able to work independently.
The successful candidate will have essential duties and responsibilities that will include the following:
- Manage a survey office that consists of multiple survey crews across primarily PA and in other states.
- Select and procure survey equipment to meet multiple project needs.
- Coordinate the collection of survey data as required in accordance with the specifications, scopes of work and work plans.
- Adhere to and implement standard operating procedures and quality control requirements for surveying and data management activities.
- Coordinate technical interface activities with CADD designers and operators and other project team personnel.
- Maintain department staffing at levels that satisfy project requirements and department labor utilization targets.
- Conduct business development activities in coordination with company marketing plans and staff to present the company’s surveying capabilities to new and existing clients and help increase the win rate for projects utilizing surveying services.

Survey Party Chief

Hunt Engineering Company, Malvern, Pa., has an immediate opening for a Party Chief to perform ALTA, boundary, aerial ground control, topographic and construction surveys for transportation, and land development projects. This is a full time position with the opportunity for overtime. The position requires a minimum 2 years of responsible experience as a Party Chief. Candidate should be proficient with use of total stations, data collectors, downloading data, automatic levels, with good computer and math skills. Use of GPS equipment, or robotics would be a plus.
