SENIOR SURVEY TECHNICIAN

GAI Consultants, Inc., a $60 million engineering and environmental consulting firm with a 50-year track record of delivering innovative, award-winning engineering solutions has an immediate opening for a Senior Survey Technician in their Homestead, PA office. Candidate must be capable of performing courthouse research, preparing legal descriptions, editing and reducing field notes from electronic files, preparing survey data for field crews on a daily basis including uploading and downloading files, performing traverse closures and adjustments, experience in preparing drawings related to property, topography, subdivisions, and ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys. Knowledge of Trimble GPS software, equipment, data collection and processing is a plus. Position requires experience in Autodesk Land Desktop, familiarity with TDS data collection software, with three or more years of surveying experience. Individuals with a SIT or PLS are encouraged to apply.

Candidate must be capable of managing projects, budgets, supervising survey staff, scheduling and review. Preparation of proposals, preparing legal descriptions, preparing survey data for field crews on a daily basis, performing survey related tasks, experience in preparing and reviewing drawings related to property, topography, subdivisions right-of-way plans, and ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys. Knowledge of Trimble GPS software, equipment, data collection and processing is a plus.
