Description: Being an Expert is no ordinary undertaking. A fundamental of any endeavor as an expert is the expert’s report. Properly prepared the expert report can be a valuable asset, both economically and professionally. An improperly prepared expert report could lead to civil liabilities, from an economic and professional perspective. This webinar will address the principle of a proper expert undertaking. The necessary skills for performing competent expert related work. Lastly, we will address the fundamentals of a properly constructed expert report. Presenter Bio: Ed Pagán, Jr. is a New Jersey Attorney, Manager Member of Pagán Affiliates, LLC in Lambertville, New Jersey. His combined legal and technical background spanning of 38 years, includes areas of boundary, construction, contracts, architect, engineer and land surveyor professional liability, insurance coverage, land titles, floodplain and infrastructure development, environmental issues and municipal land use law. Mr. Pagán is an approved defense counsel for a number of insurance carriers for design professionals.

As an Adjunct Professor at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), he teaches "Evidence and Procedure for Boundary Location". He also lectured classes at Essex, Mercer and Middlesex Community Colleges on "Survey Law".

Consistently in demand as a lecturer and writer, Mr. Pagán has presented over 50 regionally and nationally approved professional development and risk management programs, seminars, workshops and publications addressing practical and legal issues impacting design and legal professionals.
During his legal tenure in private practice, Mr. Pagan has represented private interest concerning areas of animal law, strict tort liability, workers’ compensation and disability, SSD Appeals, ERISA, residential and commercial real property transactions, elder and education law to mention but a few.

Over the course of his career, his professional associations have included the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFM), New Jersey Association for Floodplain Management (NJAFM), New Jersey Bar Association (NJSBA), Hunterdon County Bar Association (HCBA), American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM), New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors (NJSPLS) and Pennsylvania Society of Professional Land Surveyors (PSLS), among others.

Mr. Pagán received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma and Juris Doctorate from the Antioch School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New Jersey, U.S. District Court and Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
