Survey Technicians | Urban Terrain LLC

We’re seeking surveyors who want to work both in the field and in the office. This is the perfect situation while pursuing your license. Our surveyors get a mix of field work using the latest equipment and office experience drafting, deed research, planning, zoning, municipal approvals and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys.

The ideal candidate will have some CAD drafting and some field experience. At a minimum we’re looking for:

Drafting experience should include plotting deeds, label bearings & distances, download field data, correct linework errors, add text labels & symbols and have some familiarity with Carlson software.

Field experience of at least 3 years running a VRS/GPS unit or robotic total station.  Knowledge of RTK/GPS survey procedures and operation of a conventional total station.  Experience as a rodman knowing what shots are needed for topography, measuring manhole & storm drain inverts, and searching for property evidence.

Urban Terrain LLC is a small, diverse, woman, veteran owned business looking to grow.  We’re seeking individuals who want a career, not just a paycheck.  Our typical projects consist of boundary, topographic and ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys. Candidates will work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Land Surveyor.  All levels of experience will be considered.

CAD Drafters will also be considered.  Learn to create survey mapping products using Carlson and IntelliCAD software.

Urban Terrain LLC offers our employees competitive salaries, medical stipend, simple IRA with 3% match and generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and holiday pay.
