Position:              Survey Crew Chief

Description:

HB Engineering is looking for a motivated individual to join our growing survey department.  Interested candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic and the ability to work well alone and as part of a team.  Applicants must show strong attention to detail and be willing to work outside in various weather conditions.  In some cases, travel and overnight stays will be necessary depending on project location.

As a Survey Crew Chief, you will work under the direction of the survey manager to perform boundary surveys, obtain field topography and as-built data, and provide construction stakeout.

 Requirements:

  • 2 years minimum of relevant experience
  • Ability to communicate with Survey Manager and Project Managers.
  • Knowledge of conventional and GPS survey equipment, software, and data collectors.
  • Supervise and perform field surveys and calculations for boundary, control, topographic, and construction projects.
  • MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Willing to travel out of town with overnight stays.
