Tell us a bit about yourself. I am a resident of Bradford County, PA. I have served on the Geospatial Committee and the Bylaws Committee for PSLS. I am a graduate of Penn State Wilkes-Barre with a Bachelor of Science Surveying Engineering degree class of 2021 and a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Pennsylvania, New York, and Kentucky. Most of the work I have done has been in oil and gas, as well as solar. I am also a proud Eagle Scout.

As of February 3, eleven of the twelve annual appropriations for Fiscal Year 2026 were signed into law to help keep the Federal government open through September 30.

On February 3rd, Governor Shapiro gave his 2026 Budget address in which he proposed 53.3 billion dollars, which is an increase of 2.7 billion dollars, or a 5.4% increase. Currently, the Senate and House are in budget hearings from February 24th to March 20th. The House will be going into session on March 23rd and the Senate on March 16th. It’s the time of year when the northern part of the US is starting to see snow accumulation, especially if you’re in the Great Lakes area. Most of the areas north of the Mason Dixon Line can expect at least some snow to fall and accumulate after the winter solstice.

On October 1, the Federal Government entered into a shutdown following the lack of funding legislation being moved by Congress and enacted into law by the Administration. On November 12, President Trump signed legislation (H.R. 5371) to re-open the Federal government through January 30, 2026. This research will produce a manuscript serving as a resource for surveyors in Pennsylvania. It provides guidance on the governing laws, evidentiary standards, and professional responsibilities involved in utilizing prior surveys as extrinsic evidence while retracing property boundaries. The study examines how prior surveys are to be weighed as evidence while trying the facts of the location of the boundary to be ascertained.

On June 6, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) issued a 21-page Policy Notice instituting critical reforms to the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program.
